Tashlikowich acquired the all of the shares of WFB Wholesale Furniture Brokers Group in British Columbia, Canada, late last year. Tashlikowich acquired the company from Dave Zirnhelt.
"The decision for change was mutual, and a buyout was a necessary strategy for the new owner to be able to focus their attention on the direction they wished to see the company go," said Tashlikowich. “I wish my friend and business partner of the past 11 years all of the best in his future endeavors, and thank him for his commitment, diligence, and vision to help develop and grow Wholesale Furniture Brokers into a significant competitor in the online furniture market.”
The company said with the buyout now finalized, Wholesale Furniture Brokers has increased its profit.
"Cost-cutting was necessary and strategically refocusing resources to generate the best revenue while actively aligning costs with sales was a top priority over the past few months," Tashlikowich said. "The company also worked to expand product selection and stock in order to provide faster shipping and better value to an increasingly diverse and widespread market and clientele.”
Moving forward in 2014, Tashlikowich plans to focus on new business management systems to help move the company forward.
In the future, Wholesale Furniture Brokers plans to expand its presence by opening additional outlet stores to allow more customers the opportunity to see and feel the products they are buying.
“In terms of expanding, whether to franchise or open corporately owned stores is still undecided, but I am confident that with the current strategy in place and a team of dedicated warriors behind me, the company is in a great position to grow our brand and business," he said. "We are all very excited for the future possibilities and opportunities that await us."
