The donated furniture will benefit the victims of a recent fire on 10th Street in Bayonne.
“I would like to thank Ashley Furniture HomeStores of Central New Jersey for its generosity to the fire victims," Bayonne Mayor Mark Smith said. "I would also like to thank the BEOF for working closely with Ashley during the last two years to provide assistance to needy people in Bayonne.”
“I would like to express our gratitude to the owner of Ashley Furniture HomeStores of Central New Jersey, Will Schafer and the coordinator, Laura Kuehner for making the donation a reality," BEOF Executive Director Ana Quintela said. "Once again, this company has demonstrated its generosity to the people of Bayonne.”
Previously, the HomeStores donated beds to needy children in Bayonne as part of its A Hope to Dream project which provides less fortunate children a mattress set that is essential to a good night's sleep. For every mattress sold, $5 will be donated to provide mattress sets to local children in need.
The Ashley Furniture HomeStores of Central New Jersey has locations in North Brunswick, Linden, Eatontown, Freehold and Woodbridge; with a sixth location opening in March in Green Brook.
