Wayfair Names Lemieux Executive Creative Director

In her new role, Lemieux, previously Founder and Creative Director of DwellStudio, will provide creative vision and counsel across the e-commerce retailer's growing portfolio of home brands including Wayfair.com, AllModern, Joss & Main and DwellStudio. Lemieux will draw upon her extensive background in design and product development to head up a number of new creative initiatives for Wayfair in the coming year.
“Christiane has an amazing eye for home design and a deep understanding of the home furnishings industry,” said Niraj Shah, CEO and co-founder of Wayfair. “As an entrepreneur, and artist, Christiane will drive the creative direction of our home brands from a unique vantage point. She is passionate about home and offers a creative vision for the company that transcends any one style or design aesthetic.”
Lemieux began her career in fashion working as a fabric assistant for Isaac Mizrahi and then as an assistant designer of women’s woven clothing, fabric design and product development for the Gap. She then took a position as design director with New York-based home design company Portico(porticoarchitects.com).
In 2000, Lemieux launched lifestyle retail brand DwellStudio, which Wayfair in August 2013. After joining Wayfair's leadership team, she continued to oversee DwellStudio.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, Lemieux is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada and Parsons School of Design in New York. In 2012, Lemieux was named a Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur by Fortune. She currently serves on the boards of Every Mother Counts and the Manhattan Children’s Museum.
