Bassett Furniture Releases 4Q Results

Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. reported Wednesday it had $1.6 million in net income for the fourth quarter compared with $16.9 million a year ago.
The company had an income-tax benefit of $14.2 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.
Diluted earnings were 15 cents in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Sales rose 8.1 percent to $83.1 million, as the company benefited from having a 53rd operational week.
