25th Annual ARTS Awards Winners Named

Dallas Market Center and ART, named the winners of the 25th annual ARTS Awards during an event held Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

The ARTS Awards is the awards program for the home industry and is held each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

“This year’s 25th annual ARTS Awards was a milestone event celebrating the past, present and future of the home furnishings industry,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “Congratulations to all of the winners. It was an honor to recognize your achievements and celebrate with you.”

This year’s event began with the 25th Anniversary Academy of Achievement award, which was presented to the founders of the ART organization, Gil Bailie, Eric Bauer, Ralph Chancey, Henry Goldman and Harvey Hollingsworth. Additionally, the event recognized all past Academy of Achievement winners for their tremendous contributions to the industry, with many in attendance.

ARTS Awards Hall of Fame members were also guests of honor. This group represents companies who have won ARTS Awards five or more times in a specific category, and included BJ’s Home Accents, C.S. Wo & Sons Furniture, Distinctive Designs International, Feizy Rugs, Fine Art Lamps, Global Views, Montaage, Natural Decorations, PALECEK, Paragon, Robb & Stucky and Schonbek Worldwide Lighting.

Emporium Home of Little Rock, Ark., an emerging resource for high-style home furnishings, received the Rising Star Award, which recognizes innovation and modern excellence demonstrated by a home industry company that has been in business less than three years, selected by a panel of industry peers.
