Dan Masters Named CEO at Stein World

“We are extremely pleased to add a proven 35+ year furniture industry executive to lead the Stein World team,” said David Fiore, chairman of Stein World, Memphis, Tenn. “Along with his extensive industry experience, Dan Masters brings a proven track record of success of 15 years at the CEO and general management level in the furniture business to our company. He is an excellent fit with Stein World and his background makes Dan the right person to lead the execution of our strategic plan.”

Most recently, Masters served as president of Lane, now a Heritage Home Group company. Prior to that, he was president of case goods vendor Hekman Furniture Co. for eight years.

Masters began his career with Flexsteel, where he advanced to lead the company’s sales efforts before moving on to direct the sales and marketing functions of Riverside Furniture, a case goods and upholstery company. He began the general management portion of his career with Jasper Cabinet before moving on to the same capacity at Richardson Brothers Furniture.

“Dan’s well-respected reputation and diverse experience in the furniture industry, coupled with his demonstrated leadership ability, strong supply chain experience and excellent strategic vision, combined with Stein World’s strong management team and distinctive accent, lighting, and occasional table product lines, will serve to take our company to the next level of its growth and development, while continuing to provide exceptional value and service to our customers,” Fiore added.

Masters earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., and his MBA from Boston’s Suffolk University. He and his wife will relocate to Memphis in the near future.
