Zenith Expands Fleet

Zenith Global Logistics is adding 16 new trucks to its fleet to meet increased demand in California.

“Over the past several months, we’ve witnessed an increase in the freight moving in and through our Riverside warehouse and hub,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO. “This investment in additional trucks will allow us to address our customers’ need for efficient delivery of outbound product in that area.”

The new trucks are 2015 Freightliner Cascadia day cabs, equipped with automatic transmissions to reduce driver fatigue and distraction. In addition, the trucks comply with the California Environmental Protection Agency’s Air Resources Board most recent diesel truck regulations.

This addition to the Zenith’s fleet is the fourth in four years, following the company pressing into service 40 OTR and regional trucks, 110 new dry van trailers, and 12 Freightliner M-2 straight trucks for home delivery service since 2010. The company has increased the size of its fleet as part of a long-range strategic growth plan that included the opening and expansion of regional hubs throughout the U.S., including Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Indianapolis, San Antonio, Tupelo, Miss., and West Palm Beach, Fla.
