Cory Receives Tri State Furniture Group Presidential Award

The award presented recently in Philadelphia by the eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware industry organization recognizes his exceptional service and support of the association and its members.

An active member of TSHFA for several years, Cory is the recipient of a number of industry awards and recognitions. He is the 2014 chairman of the Specialized Furniture Carriers Association; president of the Greater Metropolitan Furnishings Association; serves on the International Furniture Transportation and Logistics Council; and is a member of numerous regional and national furniture associations.

Outside the industry, Cory is chairman of the City of Hope Foundation Northeast; and is an active member of the Fairleigh Dickinson University New Jersey Family Business Foundation and the Anti-Defamation League.

His business accomplishments include developing and implementing Cory’s Standards of Excellence, adding new partnerships to the company’s client roster, and fostering key business and industry relationships. He is a speaker at industry conferences, has authored many articles on warehousing and the logistics of home delivery, and is a resource of information for furniture and transportation association industry organizations and publications.

Grandson of Joseph Cory, founder of Cory Home Delivery' and son of chairman Joe Cory Sr., Patrick Cory worked side-by-side with warehousemen and delivery teams early in his career and then worked as a sales associate for Rooms To Go. Returning to Cory in 1999 to oversee the Mid-Atlantic operations, he led the company’s marketing team in 2003 and became managing partner in 2009.

He was named CEO in January 2013.
