Kittrich Acquires Legaré Furniture

Kittrich Corp. has acquired the assets of ready-to-assemble furniture vendor Legaré Furniture. Terms were not disclosed.

Kittrich sees broad strategic domestic and international distribution synergies with Legaré’s youth-themed furniture collections. Legaré’s extensive domestic and international intellectual property adds strong value to Kittrich’s portfolio of companies.

Legaré designs and distributes a full line of three-minute tool-free-assembly furniture to more than 25 countries. Comprehensive product lines are developed for both distributors and retailers, targeting affordable “fun” furniture for home office, media, occasional and kids bedrooms.

Founded in 1978, Kittrich Corp. has established a global presence for the home and office including housewares, mattresses, yard goods, stationary and office, bath, organic bath and others.

With more than a million square feet of production and distribution space in the United States, Kittrich can deliver product efficiently across North America.

“The growth of our themed kids furniture has been phenomenal," said Legaré Europe Managing Director Lionel Chevalier. "With the official launch of Legaré Europe and the union with Kittrich Corporation, we are well-positioned for dramatic growth in these recovering high-growth markets.”

Legaré will exhibit its entire European product range in its booth at next week’s IMM Cologne Furniture Fair.
