Ethan Allen will be the primary source of furniture and décor for the HGTV Dream Home for the eighth year running.
The HGTV Dream Home 2014 is a custom-built, 3,200-square-foot masterpiece of “new mountain” architecture in the community of Schaffer's Mill in Truckee, Calif., minutes from Lake Tahoe.
The process began in June when HGTV Dream Home interior designer Linda Woodrum visited Ethan Allen's Danbury, Conn., headquarters to choose the furniture, upholstery, window treatments, and accessories that her team would use for the 2014 Dream Home.
This year’s HGTV Dream Home, designed by architect David Bourke, combines classic rustic elements with modern, industrial details, a good fit for Ethan Allen's focus on "New Eclecticism."
“The New Eclecticism is all about fresh ways to express individual style,” said Ethan Allen CEO Farooq Kathwari. “It is a fashion-driven design approach, where rooms aren't just furnished, they're dressed. We always enjoy the creativity that Linda and her team bring to each HGTV® Dream Home and we are delighted to again be a part of it.”
