Ethan Allen Opens Stores in Saudi Arabia and Romania

Furniture retailer Ethan Allen  (NYSE: ETH) has opened design centers in Saudi Arabia and Romania, further building its international presence.

Of the company's nearly 300 design centers, about a third are located outside the U.S.

“Fashion is an international language,” said Ethan Allen CEO Farooq Kathwari. “Our design influences come from all over the world, and we are pleased to share them all over the world.”

The store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is located in a renovated villa, and Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz is a partner in the center.

In Bucharest, Romania, Ethan Allen has partnered with style-setter Diana Sucu and her husband and entrepreneur Dan Sucu for the design center.

Jeddah is Ethan Allen's fifth location in the Middle East. Bucharest is the company's third location in Europe. The company also recently opened locations in Amman, Jordan, and Seoul, South Korea. Three new locations are planned for China.
