Shades of Light Acquires Colonial Metalcrafts

Founded nearly 50 years ago, Colonial Metalcrafts has a long history of manufacturing a signature line of hand-crafted colonial inspired lighting products.  The company, led by current president and owner Jason Fredrick, has been owned and operated by the Fredrick family since 1993. 

As part of the acquisition, Fredrick will remain on board to lead the manufacturing operations at Colonial Metalcrafts, and the current team of employees has been retained.

The deal adds to Shades of Light's line of lighting products, and Colonial Metalcrafts expertise in metal working and metal finishing will further enhance Shades of Light's existing production capabilities.  In addition, the move will strengthen Shades of Light's position in the regional interior designer market with the addition of Colonial Metalcrafts' existing customer base of residential and commercial designers and its custom fixture and repair capabilities.
