Natura Plant Hits 1K/Day Mattress Production

By Home Furnishings Business in Bedding on June 28, 2011

Organic bedding manufacturer Natura World's Wichita Falls, Texas, plant has exceeded 1,000 mattresses produced a day.

The Canadian manufacturer's first U.S. factory hit the milestone after just a few months of operation. Production at the 478,000-square-foot plant is for big-box and larger domestic retailers.

Natura World currently employs 70 at the site, sharing the complex with one of its sister businesses, NexGel and a supplier, Latex International.

"Wichita Falls' central location, excellent workforce, and the generous incentives from state and local sources have resulted in a truly exceptional opportunity for us," said Natura World President Ralph Rossdeutscher. "It is exciting to see how far we have come from our announcement last year. I am grateful to the local, regional and state officials who have helped facilitate our opening, and our employees for helping us reach this day."

Rossdeutscher added that Wichita Falls' location in Northern Texas gives the plant tremendous highway access to all points in the United States, significantly reducing product shipment time to its retailers.
