Imax Worldwide Home has rolled out a new Web site to offer customers a more streamlined shopping experience.
"The new Web site has already been a huge success," said Rex Yoakley, vice president of sales. "We've had great customer feedback and increased sales since it launched earlier this year. Imax has always been on the cutting edge of technology in our industry, and we're excited to provide our customers with an even better online shopping experience."
The site offers easy-to-use navigation, allowing customers to browse products on the Web site or using digital flip-page catalogs. New features include the ability to browse product without logging in, social media product sharing, product image detail zooming and improved product search.

A plant employee was taken to the hospital after a water tower failed and collapsed at Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Wednesday morning.
The collapse happened around 11:30 a.m. near the boilers at Plant 1 in Galax. At least 150,000 gallons of water washed into a nearby creek, Galax fire officials said.

ART, the creative home furnishings network, has partnered with 19 vendors to participate in the ART Card Program during the spring High Point Market.
Retailers and interior designers are eligible for the market discounts with their membership in the association. Retail membership dues are $250 per year and is open to home furnishings retailers and interior design studios.
The retailer member receives a personalized ART Card, which is presented to participating vendors when placing an order at market in order to receive exclusive specials.
The following companies are participating in the Card program: Artisan House; Classic Concepts Home; Crystorama; Currey & Co.; Feizy; Fine Art Lamps; Flambeau Lighting; GuildMaster; Howard Elliott Collection; Imax; Lacefield Designs; Lazy Susan; Loloi Rugs; Pacific Coast Lighting; Paragon Picture; Phillips Collection; Propac Image; Surya; and The Uttermost Co.

Interior designer Michelle Workman has created an online home store to target shoppers looking for design treasures.
Michelle Workman Home offers for sale custom home furnishings designed by Workman. The products had previously only been available to Workman's clientele.
With the new Web site, Workman plans to continue cultivating finds to share with shoppers on the site.
The online move comes as a natural progression for the designer who is known for her Hollywood-glamour style. After years of designing for the Hollywood elite, Workman will be packing up her family and moving to Chattanooga, Tenn., where she will be headquartered as of June.
Workman has been featured in a number of publications including Veranda, Traditional Home, and InStyle. Her signature design style is a melding of modern and vintage.

The Savannah College of Art and Design is the only American university participating in a prestigious Italian exhibition.
School officials said furniture design students will have their work on display until April 14 at the invitation-only SaloneSatellite exhibition in Milan.
