Pete Morone has joined home furnishings retail software vendor Myriad Software as director of business development, a new position.
He reports to Carolyn Crowley, president of Myriad Software, San Diego.
"Pete adds a strong customer focus and many years of industry knowledge specific to Home Furnishings retailers," Crowley said. "Additionally, his past experience with a wide variety of software solutions for retailers, manufacturers and distributors gives us advantages that will translate into real benefits for our customers and partners going forward. Pete's role as business development director will provide strategic assistance in several aspects of how we create and enhance products and services to our clients."
Most recently, Morone served as vice president of sales and marketing for DSD Business Systems, a nationally recognized business solutions provider that served a wide variety of customers that ranged from wholesale distributors, manufacturing, online catalog, and retail sales organizations. He also brings his past experience with GERS (now Escalate Retail), a provider of enterprise software solutions for the home furnishings industry.
"I'm very excited about joining the Myriad team now," said Morone. "I know doing business in today's economy is challenging; Myriad Software is going to be there for its customers, and we will continue to bring solutions that make a positive difference to the home furnishings industry."
Myriad Software solutions are installed in more than 11,000 store fronts.
