Pure LatexBliss Doubles Down in Las Vegas Showroom

By Home Furnishings Business in Las Vegas on June 15, 2012

Luxury mattress brand Pure LatexBliss will double its Las Vegas Furniture Market showroom to 6,463 square feet.

The move in World Market Center's Building B, space 945 is Pure Latexbliss' third Las Vegas expansion in as many years.

The additional square footage allows Pure LatexBliss to highlight its latest product introductions, merchandising solutions, new €œPillow Display Center € and topper point-of-purchase displays, and provide retailers a €œNap Room€ filled with the company€™s most popular model.

€œAs the Latex category has boomed, our Talalay latex product offerings are multiplying at a rapid rate and we simply ran out of room,€ said Pure LatexBLISS President Kurt Ling. €œWe blew through the wall and expanded our most recent space, more than doubling the size of our showroom. Not only does this provide us with a larger area, but it also gives us more space to feature our expanding product lines and merchandising concepts. Following the last trade shows, many of our customers told us they have gone home and emulated our retail displays in their own showroom floors. We€™re excited to give them additional merchandising concepts.€

At Market, Pure LatexBLISS will introduce line extensions of its ActiveFusion Climate Control, which the company has added into all their mattress collections as a result of the overwhelming success of the technology. The ActiveFusion lines feature the Bekaert Gel Fabric ticking and utilize phase change material, which stores and releases energy on demand, helping two partners sleep at their optimal body temperatures.

The company also will debut its first line of ActiveFusion pillows, which are available in both €œFast€ and €œSlow€ response.

Ashley Furniture Homestore Provides Beds

By Home Furnishings Business in Community/Charitable Support on June 15, 2012

An Ashley Furniture Homestore licensee will provide beds to 37 children in Indianapolis and Louisville, Ky.

The licensee, Kentuckiana Home Furnishings, is giving the beds as part of Ashley Furniture Homestores' "A Hope to Dream" program, which seeks to provide less fortunate children with comfortable mattresses for a good night€™s sleep. For every mattress purchased at participating Ashley Furniture HomeStore locations, $5 is donated to A Hope to Dream to provide beds to children in need within Homestores' local community.

As of June 2012, KHF was $2,800 over its projected fundraising goal for A Hope to Dream. The HomeStores A Hope to Dream team reviewed more 80 applications for the A Hope to Dream program and selected the first round of applicants to receive new Ashley Sleep twin mattress sets. Thirty-seven Children across 11 counties have been selected to receive a new bed in local Louisville
and Indianapolis areas.

€œWhen we joined the A Hope to Dream operation we made it our mission to make the campaign as impactful in our community as we possibly could." said KHF Marketing Manager Katie Uttich. "We encouraged 100 percent participation and focus from all of our stores as well as our local vendors and partners.€

From a local television campaign, to soliciting nominations at every store location and everything in between, the entire community helped the company to be able to provide local children this essential necessity.

€œChildren are a vital part of our local neighborhoods and providing them a comfortable bed at night is a focus that aligned so well with our business model," Uttich said. "We€™re making it our mission to contribute as many beds as possible with this ongoing campaign."

KHF is partnering with The Talon Logistics Network to deliver the mattresses local families.

Deliveries will take place in the next couple of weeks in both Louisville and Indianapolis. KHF is still seeking applications for A Hope to Dream.
