Stein World Rebrands, Unveils New Logo & Tagline

Accent furniture vendor Stein World has launched a new brand identity, unveiling a bold new logo and tagline: "Evolution in Home Accents."

The new brand strategy capitalizes on the growth and forward momentum of the organization, and encompasses brand communications, dealer programs, and consumer-centered product design. The announcement follows on the recent re-launch of its Web site.

€œToday€™s Stein World is fresh, modern, and evolving and we€™ve created a brand strategy that captures our distinctive personality and philosophy,€ said Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jack Johnson. €œWe€™re utilizing technology, fashion, and consumer psychographics in new ways, and approaching home accent design from a totally original perspective. Our new brand identity embodies these leading-edge initiatives, while communicating our vision to our customers and partners.€

The new logo for Stein World, Memphis, Tenn., is bold, modern and streamlined. It blends an icon with typography to create a symbol that is both fashion-forward and timeless. In keeping with its contemporary appeal, the color of the logo is adaptable and will change based on its application and design directions in the home industries. A core shade of teal was chosen for its adaptability and current prevalence in home furnishings, interior design and fashion.

Accompanying the new logo is a completely re-envisioned tagline: Evolution in Home Accents. The statement reflects Stein World€™s commitment to changing the way home accents are designed and marketed to today€™s consumers. The new tagline is unique and memorable and illustrates how Stein World is pioneering the evolution of home accents.

The company has launched its new brand identity company-wide, and is providing supporting graphics to dealers on its dealer Web site.

Fortune Names DwellStudio's Lemieux Among Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs

Fortune has named Christiane Lemieux, founder and creative director of home furnishings retailer DwellStudio, to its 2012 list of Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs.

Each year, the magazine recognizes 10 female entrepreneurs who are outstanding game changers, groundbreakers, and innovators. The 2012 list includes women who have created innovative companies across various industries, with Lemieux as the only honoree from the home design category. She will join The Fortune Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs community, which includes prominent female leaders such as Lauren Bush Lauren, CEO and Co-Founder, FEED Projects LLC; Jessica Alba, Co-Founder, The Honest Co.; and Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss, Rent the Runway.

"The best part of the Most Powerful Women Summit is sharing ideas," said Pattie Sellers, Fortune Editor at Large and Co-chair of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit. "Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs can contribute as much to the MPW community as they can learn from the big-name corporate stars."

Fortune said Lemieux revolutionized the home furnishings market when she launched DwellStudio in 2000 as a wholesale and retail modern home and lifestyle brand, offering high quality, trendsetting and original items fusing fashion-forward, modern design with luxurious details in home décor. The brand has since evolved and expanded to offer a full range of home décor and children€™s furnishings, bringing color, personality and passion to the next generation of home design.

Fortunata Returns to Market Square

Italian ceramic accents vendor Fortunata is moving its High Point Furniture Market showroom to Suites at Market Square.

Atlanta-based Fortunata first established its High Point presence in that building in October 1998. Fortunata's new location is in the Salon on the Mezzanine level space M-7034. Owner and Chief Designer Margaret Proctor said the move was the result of a strong desire to be surrounded by other like-minded artists who are both inspiring and intimately involved in the creative process.

"I am moved by objects with strong expressive force," Proctor said. "They must be authentic. "The objects I create are very personal to me. They are like friends you invite into your home. Each piece carries with it the spirit of the skilled Italian artists I collaborate with to produce these colorful and useful products."

While rooted in traditional Italian styles, Fortunata takes the process several steps further, creating more modern designs that combine striking contemporary colors and themes with all the time-tested hallmarks of quality craftsmanship.

At the Oct. 13-18 Market, Fortunata will unveil its newest collections, including the Ginkgo Vibrant Tuscan Gold and the Fresh New Persimmon collections.
