Good's Home Furnishings is the first Carolinas retailer to debut the HGTV Home Furniture Collection.
The retail floors of Good's Home Furnishings locations in Charlotte, N.C., and Hickory, N.C., are showing HGTV Home's Classic Chic, Woodlands and Meadowbrook Manor collections along with upholstery and accents.
"We are really excited to share the HGTV Home Furniture collection with our customers," said Shana Bretzius, store manager of the Pineville-Charlotte store. "The HGTV philosophy of providing good design fits perfectly with our belief that 'Good' design is every home's right. We embrace that idea by working with our customers to create beautiful and livable environments in their home. The new HGTV Home Furniture collections make it easy to redefine comfort and to redefine style as we create warm, welcoming spaces for our customers."
The HGTV Home Furniture collection is centrally located in the Good's Charlotte Pineville store's dedicated space of 1,475 square feet; and also is predominately displayed in Good's Hickory Furniture Mart store's dedicated space of 1,050 square feet.
"Our spaces have been professionally decorated with input from the HGTV design staff to inspire and give our customers who are looking for style, function and fantastic design the true flavor of HGTV Home," Bretzius said.

Broad River Furniture has selected the Storis' Vision9 Enterprise Server Solution for its Ashley Furniture HomeStores.
"We assessed the landscape of several different technology solutions for retail companies of our size, dedicating several months and hundreds of hours into this project," said Charlie Malouf, Broad River's COO. "After following a course of due diligence, we felt that STORIS's Vision9 business suite was the perfect platform for our business."
Broad River Furniture of Charlotte, N.C., will be implementing several areas of the robust Vision9 Enterprise Server platform. Some of these include radio frequency communications for mobile scanning at the distribution centers, customer relationship management applications, e-data transmissions directly with manufacturers including Ashley, credit/debit card processing and third party financing, and business intelligence tools for report mining within a data warehouse.
"Both STORIS and Broad River Furniture are focused on excellence through continual improvement, demonstrating the cultural synergies supportive of a long term, mutually beneficial partnership," said Mark Ricciardi, senior business development manager at Storis.

Another woman has been appointed to Berkshire Hathaway's board, the company led by Warren Buffett said Thursday, the same day it was ranked as the worst publicly traded company for director and executive diversity.
Appointed to a newly created board position is Meryl Witmer, a principal at New York-based investment partnership Eagle Capital Partners, Omaha-based Berkshire said in an email responding to a request for comment on the ranking.
