Las Vegas Market Sets Seminar Slate

The line-up features retailer and designer-oriented educational programming, presented by a slate of top designers, style editors, bloggers and other industry thought leaders addressing subjects such as design trends, brand-building, social media, and other business and marketing strategies.
"Attending Markets is a critical component to retailers and designers staying on trend in terms of both product selection and best business practices," said Scott Eckman, chief marketing and strategy officer, International Market Centers, parent company of Las Vegas Market. "We're presenting a full program roster to bring retailers and designers up to speed on the latest trends, as well as ideas and inspiration to drive their future business."

Guest co-host, designer Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield's House of Design, will join Nine Muses Media's Julie Smith Vincenti for a look at the most inspired, new-to-market product introductions debuting this season (0.1 CEU).

The Trend Insights presentation from WGSN-Homebuildlife is focused on key ideas that will direct the future of the interiors industry. These big picture trends are influenced by consumer insights and creative intelligence from the interior, fashion, and consumer product markets.
Attendees will learn about the 3 key macro trends for the upcoming year. These macro trends will be followed by a review of color and material forecasts that evolve from the trend themes. We will explain how the macro trends will influence style and decor for products as diverse as furniture, bed, bath, tabletop, and decorative accessories. Anne Obarski of Merchandise Concepts, will show this emerging consumer segment's critical traits in order to understand Gen Y better and to sell more to the largest consumer group in U.S. history.
