Spring Air Hosts International Licensees

Bedding vendor Spring Air held its first International Licensee Conference stateside at its Fresno, Calif., plant.

The meeting in late October, themed “The California Experience,” involved 30 international Spring Air licensees plus headquarters staff in a number of events and activities aimed at sharing new information and technologies.

The delegation of Spring Air manufacturers from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas toured the 150,000-square-foot plant owned by Herb Morgenstern and family. Operating as Pleasant Mattress Inc., the 54-year-old Spring Air-Southwest makes and distributes Spring Air and private-label products throughout the states of California and Arizona.

“I‘m very proud of our operation and our fine employees,” Morgenstern said. “We were pleased not only to demonstrate our manufacturing knowledge but to learn from our international colleagues and peers throughout the world.”

The group then met for two days of presentations and discussions, followed by visits to several Spring Air retailers. The four-day meeting also included a tour of Napa Valley and a visit to the classic, Mission-style winery of Robert Mondavi.

Under the brand statement “Trusted by millions since 1926,” the Spring Air organization includes 13 manufacturing facilities across North America and operates in 33 other countries around the globe.
