Simon Li Introduces Domestic Leather Line

Leather supplier Simon Li Furniture is showcasing a Made in the U.S.A. program at the High Point Market.

The initial offering features two leather sofa collections crafted in a former Berkline factory in Morris, Tenn., with components from the company's primary Shanghai factory. Simon Li plans to add more groups to the program before the end of January.

“Simon Li Furniture regards this step into producing goods in American as one part of our global manufacturing strategy”, said Simon Lichtenberg, founder and CEO of The Trayton Group, Simon Li Furniture’s parent company. “With the doubling of our Jiashan facility, a new motion facility that will be on line early in 2014 and the launch of this program that meshes with the U.S. warehouse program consisting of warehouses on the west and east coasts; we are positioning Simon Li Furniture to gain more market share in the US and globally; and to service our retail customers from various production/warehouse facilities in North America”.

The leather stationary groups for the initial offering feature one casual/contemporary look and one traditional design. The casual group will be offered in two leather colors. The target ship date for the initial introductions from the program will be early December.
