John Boyd Designs Moves to IHFC's Hamilton Wing

The company will exhibit in a 1,700-square-foot showroom in the IHFC's Hamilton wing, Space 1114. It had been showing in the Profit Center at 156 S. Main St.

"The Hamilton wing of the IHFC will be a much better fit for us," said Tom Carscaden, vice president of sales and marketing for John Boyd Designs. "Our line is aimed at the middle of the market, and the IHFC attracts all the retailers we do business with--or want to do business with--so this new location will make us much easier to shop."

In its new showroom this market, John Boyd Designs will feature three collections: Notting Hill, a traditional group in poplar with a painted finish and bead-board panel treatments; Outer Banks, a multicolored painted design, also in poplar, with a cottage feel; and Cape May, a simple, elegant beach-inspired design in a light Drift finish with louvered insets. Each group features both master and youth bedroom configurations.

Based in Los Angeles, John Boyd Designs was founded in 1981 by John Boyd. The company today is a division of Kinfine, an importer of occasional and accent furniture based in China.

John Boyd Designs specializes in high-quality, value-priced bedroom, with all collections carried in stock with 48-hour shipping from its Los Angeles warehouse.

"John Boyd Designs adds another strong source to the IHFC's lineup," said Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for International Market Centers. "We're excited that they've made the commitment to a new showroom in the Hamilton wing."
