WithIt Sets Market Event Lineup

On Friday, Oct. 18, 6-7 p.m., Copeland Furniture will host WithIt's High Point Market President's Reception in Showplace, space 5200, where attendees can join WithIt 2013 President Betty Lyn Eller and Copeland for a glass of wine. Guests are welcome. RSVP at withit.org.

The WithIt Educational Breakfast, 7:15-9 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 20 in Ballroom A on the IHFC's 11th floor, family lifestyle designer and Wendy Bellissimo Media Founder Wendy Bellissimo will present “Baby Steps to a Better Brand.”

With tentative and sometimes stumbling baby steps, Wendy Bellissimo took her business from a few discarded fabric swatches to a multi-million dollar brand. Now, as Wendy launches new projects, including her first-ever youth furniture line with Legacy Classic Kids, she will recount the challenges that brought her back down to square one, share insight gained through hardship, and reveal what has empowered her to make her business stronger than ever. WithIt Competitive Intelligence/Trends Panel is set for 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21 at the Design9 showroom, 220 Elm, space 311. Betty Lyn Eller, WithIt’s 2013 president, will moderate a panel of guests to summarize what is happening in design, global trends and material trends as reflected this market. Hosted by Design9, Tema Home and Lumitonic. Cocktails are at 6 p.m. The panel and audience discussion begins at 7 p.m. RSVP at withit.org.
 
WithIt Student Mentoring Day runs 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23. After gathering at the Century Courtyard Registration Lobby, students will start off with group discussions led by industry experts. Topics include: I’m a Senior Now What?; Interior Design: The Career Not for Pillow Fluffing; From Imagination to Reality: The steps to product development; How to get the job: tips from the HR department; and Fashion to Furniture: Trend forecasting and the relationship
