HMI Among Triad Region Fastest Growing Companies

Home Meridian International is among The Triad Business Journal’s Fast 50 list of the region's fastest-growing companies.

The honor was announced Thursday at a gala event at the Hayworth Fine Arts Center at High Point University.

Through a confidential process, nominations are submitted to accounting firm Smith Leonard, which verifies each company’s revenues during the three-year period between 2010 and 2012. Smith Leonard then ranks the nominees based on a formula that factors in both dollar and percentage change for their three most recent fiscal years. To be eligible, each company must:
• Be a private, for-profit venture.
• Have its U.S. headquarters in the Triad.
• Have finished three full fiscal years and had sales of at least $2 million in its last fiscal year.

Home Meridian International led the region's furniture industry in sales gains in 2011 (13.2 percent) and 2012 (25.6 percent).

George Revington, Home Meridian CEO, credits this success and growth to the company and its brands having the ability and commitment to adapt and change to the needs of the industry.

“We do not underestimate the power of adaptability, and with a commitment to continuous improvement,” Revington said. "HMI and our family of brands provides the right product at the right price, at the right time."

Headquartered in, High Point,HMI has distribution centers on both coasts, and Asian operations in China, Vietnam and Malaysia.
