Somerton Dwelling Enters Bedroom
Furniture supplier Somerton Dwelling
will introduce a bedroom collection at the upcoming High Point Market.
“We had impressive ordering from some bellwether retailers on our Claire De Lune, Well Mannered and the two Improv collections so we knew we needed to quickly support the merchandising with bedroom collections,” said Stephanie Lena, creative director at Somerton Dwelling. “The Well Mannered bed group has the same classy, sophisticated look of the dining. The four poster bed with signature reed detail is a real eye-catcher and the panel bed shows off our expertise with fancy veneers.”
The company is targeting independent retailers with the collections, which are both based on two of the company's dining collections.
Well Mannered offers American walnut veneers with a soft natural sheen for a touch of sophistication. This bedroom collection will have two bed options and five case pieces.
Claire De Lune answers the growing interest in cross over styling with a look that emphasizes two trends in the market today—a sense of movement providing softer shapes and profiles along with geometric veneer patterns to complement key pieces in American cherry. The wing back bed is upholstered in grey textured fabric trimmed with wood. The panel bed has a blending of walnut and cherry veneers for a more neutral and masculine décor. Case pieces include a drawer nightstand, an oval nightstand, a chest of drawers, a ladies chest with vanity and jewelry trays, a dresser and mirror and an apartment TV chest.
“The bedroom product category is a critical element to the merchandising plan for Somerton Dwelling," said Rita Ho-Bezzola, Somerton Dwelling's CEO. "How we supply and deliver it with existing product is strategically being planned. All the bedroom product will be sourced in Asia and the United States.”
