Exstra Design to Debut in High Point

Exstra DesignA new case goods vendor, Exstra Design, will make its debut at the upcoming High Point Furniture Market with a line of modern home furnishings.

With a new 3,000 square-foot showroom at 220 Elm, Space 310, the eclectic presentation of case goods will incorporate a variety of materials, techniques, and cultural influences.  Working with global resources, introductions will include bedroom, dining, and occasional selections.

Industry veteran Steven Kayne , founder and former president of Excelsior Designs, a luxury producer of Italian-made contemporary furnishings; and Alfred Birnbaum , former president and design director of Casa Stradivari, are co-owners of Exstra Design. Together they will coordinate all designs and manage sales, marketing, sourcing, production and distribution for the company.

Paying special attention to directional trends and developing relationships with leading designers, the company’s products incorporate global design influences and compelling combinations of materials such as stainless steel, exotic woods, shell, mosaic glass, leather, lacquers and marble.

The company is able to design and produce custom products as well as offering warehoused and container-direct business for its customers. Company headquarters and warehouse are located in North Amityville, N.Y.

“We are very excited about the prospects for this new partnership,” said Kayne. “We look forward to building close relationships with a variety of customers, and offering them inspired designs at exceptional values. We are proud of our heritage and look forward to our future as we are committed to creating the best possible products without compromise.”
