A family-owned and -operated business, Springfield Mattress will be known as Englander Southwest and will produce a complete assortment of Englander brands and products from its 60,000-square-foot facility near Los Angeles in Pico Rivera.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Springfield Mattress to our organization,” noted Kevin Toman , president and CEO of Englander Sleep Products, Olive Branch, Miss. “The company is a very successful player in the southwest U.S. and has a business philosophy that’s consistent with our own: Make quality products, maintain a healthy product assortment and offer strong values to retailers.
“Along with expanding our distribution in the country’s southwest region, Springfield Mattress will bring to our company new bedding manufacturing techniques and creative design concepts that they’ve developed over the years.”
While focusing on Englander-branded bedding starting at $499, Englander Southwest will continue to make and sell its own private label products which include innerspring and encased-coil mattresses, specialty foam beds and sleep accessories like pillows.
The producer’s current distribution to multiple sleep chains, independent furniture stores and single-outlet specialty shops “leads us to anticipate healthy sales gains for our company in the near future,” Toman said.
Springfield Mattress is Englander’s seventh U.S. licensee. The producer has an additional eight licensees operating 10 factories overseas.
