Latex Int'l Realigns Component Sales

Foam mattress and pillow source Latex International is realigning its component sales strategy.

The move gives more responsibility to executives and industry veterans Mike Tilki , vice president of domestic and international component sales, North America; and Jeff Gober , who returned to Latex International in May as director of component sales western division. Tilki will have primary responsibility for sales in the eastern part of the United States, and Gober will focus on the western region. Both will report directly to President and CEO Dave Fisher .

As a part of the realignment, Jim Siragusa  who was vice president of sales, will leave the company after a short transition period.

Tilki joined Latex International, Shelton, Conn., in 1999 as a product marketing manager. As the company’s bedding business grew, Tilki transitioned to the sales force, tasked with managing multiple East Coast mattress component accounts and developing comprehensive sales trainings programs.

Gober first joined Latex International in 2001, rising through the ranks to become director of sales for the company’s western division. He is credited with increasing division sales by 182 percent from 2002 to 2008, and successfully managing the company’s Evercloud initiative, which resulted in selling out the capacity of the brand’s quilted latex capacity.

“When Jeff rejoined our team earlier this year, it was clear that with he and Mike, we had two very experienced industry veterans who were providing our customers with high level strategy and implementation skills. This realignment is really a reflection of the strength and growth of our business as a result of these two highly effective executives,” said Fisher. “I also want to thank Jim for his more than a decade’s work helping to build our brand. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
