The Specialty Interiors business of Milliken & Company, a textile, specialty chemical and floor covering manufacturer, has announced that LeAnne Flack has been named one of the most influential and inspiring women in the home interiors industry.
Flack, who serves as Milliken Specialty Interiors’ marketing manager, has been honored as one of Home Furnishings News’s Inspiring Women in Home, which recognizes women for outstanding achievements in advancing their company and the industry. Winners were announced in the publication’s November issue.
Over the past three years, Flack has made the business case for and spearheaded Milliken’s re-entrance into the residential market. She was instrumental in developing, launching and commercializing Breathe by Milliken, the industry’s first fluorine-free eco-elegant performance fabric available in natural and recycled polyester fiber.
Flack has also overseen the creation of the company’s new customer-facing tools, including its new websites and social media presence, as well as the design and construction of its new High Point showroom, which opened in June and was honored as Showtime’s best showroom. She is also frequently sought out by the media for her insight and expertise, particularly in the areas of sustainability and performance fabrics, and has helped forge key relationships for Milliken with key groups like the Sustainable Furnishings Council and charitable organizations, such as Gift of Hope.
“A bright and dedicated leader, LeAnne has a keen eye for detail, vast knowledge of the market and a vision for the future,” said Jennifer K. Harmon, vice president, Milliken Specialty Interiors. “Her efforts have not only benefitted Milliken, but our industry as a whole in an extremely positive and lasting way. All of us are very proud of LeAnne and this well-deserved honor.”
