Huppé to Make Las Vegas Debut

Contemporary and modern case goods vendor Huppé will make its Las Vegas Furniture Market debut at the July 29-August 2 summer show.

The Victoriaville, Quebec-based company will exhibit in a 2,086-square-foot showroom, World Market Center-B707.

At market, Huppe will feature its new fashion-forward dining line, which includes three collections designed by Joël Dupras: Moment and Magnolia, in solid black American walnut and veneers; and Illusion, in solid white oak and veneers. Produced at its headquarters facility in Canada, the line features tables and serving pieces in a range of finish options. Chairs are sourced from Italy, with finishes and covers, both leather and fabric, applied at the Huppé plant. The company ships all orders from its warehouse within four weeks.

Along with dining, Huppe will show a large sampling of its other major lines in its new Las Vegas showroom, including its new Up by Huppé line, as well as other bedroom, entertainment and home office furniture.

“Exhibiting in Las Vegas gives us a great opportunity to expand our business with retailers in the West,” said Jean-François Nolin, who purchased the company in 2010 from Jacques Hamel, son of one of the company’s founders. “We expect to see a mix of our current customers as well as a number of fresh faces, both designers and smaller independents, shopping our space at market.”

Nolin said that many retailers on both sides of the U.S.-Canada border are looking to source more product from current vendors. “With the addition of dining, we now offer a complete line of stylish, domestically made wood furnishings with many custom options, backed by high levels of customer service,” he said.

At the January Las Vegas Market, Huppé plans to introduce a major new bedroom collection created by renowned designer Karim Rashid.

“The addition of Huppé adds another leading Canadian producer to the Las Vegas Market’s growing mix of international exhibitors,” said Craig Staack , vice president of home furnishings leasing for International Market Centers. “They deepen the market’s assortment of contemporary furnishings, strengthening our role as a must-visit destination for retailers looking to expand their business in this growing market segment.”
