Indonesian Pavilion at Las Vegas Market

Seven Indonesian furniture manufacturers will exhibit in the Indonesian Pavilion at the July 29-August 2 Las Vegas Furniture Market.
Located in World Market Center's Building B, spaces B200-1 through B200-3, the exhibit will include goods in rattan, teak, mahogany, wood solids and recycled wood. The pavilion also will include Indonesia's signature rattan baskets, unique wooden home accessories and wall decorations.
A buyer reception at the pavilion, Monday, July 29, 2-4 p.m. will feature authentic Indonesian food, beer and wine.
The seven participant manufacturers are:
* Aida Rattan Industry: rattan living room, dining room.
* Indosurya Mahakam: rattan living room, dining room, home accessories, outdoor furniture.
* Diraja Surya Furniture: garden furniture, indoor furniture, flooring.
* Nuansa Kayu Bekas: recycled wooden furniture and handicrafts.
* D'art Collection: indoor and outdoor furniture of mahogany, teak and rattan.
* Bali Wirama: wooden handicrafts and wall decor.
* Togeni Arum Jaya: rattan baskets.
According the U.S Department of Commerce Indonesia's furniture exports to the U.S. market ranked number 8 last year, with a total export of $649 million, up by more than 14 percent compared with the previous year. Imports of finished goods in rattan were up 36 percent after the Indonesian Ministry of Trade prohibited raw rattan export in 2012. With this new regulation, many Indonesian rattan companies and well as artisans have revived, giving more opportunities to Indonesian rattan businesses to grow in the international trade.
