Scott Shuptrine Interiors’ Silverman Leads Growth for Commercial division

Art Van Furniture the Midwest's largest furniture retailer has announced that its luxury commercial division at Scott Shuptrine Interiors achieved significant growth under the leadership of Wendy Silverman, signing Detroit’s Caucus Club, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Pine Lake Tennis Club, St. John’s Providence Hospital and Jimmy John’s Field to its growing list of clients.

“We have a proven track record for sophisticated and versatile furnishings and designs in the residential market and under Wendy’s leadership, her experience has translated seamlessly into our work in the commercial division,” said Jeanette McNamara, vice president of Scott Shuptrine Interiors. “She embodies the type of leader needed to elevate our brand to yet another level of excellence.”

With more than 30 years of experience in design, Silverman joined Scott Shuptrine Interiors in 2015 as the head of its commercial division. In the last year, Silverman has led the day-to-day growth and development for the commercial division, leveraging her experience and expertise to oversee design projects from inception to finalization.

“Our team is energized to be serving as the driving force behind the growth of our commercial division,” said Silverman.

“As a team with vast experiences, we work together as one to integrate our clients’ visions into a cohesive design that delivers a fresh perspective to the commercial interiors landscape.”

With many awards under her belt, including being a Detroit Home Awards recipient, Silverman formerly owned and operated Silverman Design, an award-winning, full-service design company specializing in commercial and residential properties. Silverman’s portfolio includes projects throughout the United States and the Orient.

Silverman received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors from Drake University. She continued her education with coursework in the Masters program in Architecture and Interior Architecture from the University of Colorado and coursework in the Master of Fine Arts from the University of Puget Sound.
