October 3,
2016 by Jane Chero in High Point, Market
The new showroom, space D-536, provides a larger footprint to showcase their collection of functional furniture including an assortment of their very successful media, office and home entertainment collections, IHFC officials said.
BDI joins new tenants Imab (D-1034), an import casegoods company that is a first-time High Point exhibitor, and Quebec-based upholstery producer Jaymar on the fifth floor (D-508).
Further growth in the Design Center wing comes with an expansion for leather upholstery resource Himolla on the tenth floor (D-1030) and Mobican on the fifth floor (D-523), officials said.
The fall market is scheduled for Oct. 22-26.
“BDI’s growth and success is a testament to their understanding of consumer demands and responding to them in the right way at the right time,” said Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of Furniture Leasing for International Market Centers. “With the growing demand for functional furniture to keep pace with technology, it’s no surprise that BDI is an industry leader in these important categories.”
“Over the last 30-plus years, our product collections have always been thoughtfully developed to offer the highest level of design while including smart function to adapt to the ever-changing technical requirements of our consumers,” said Lorri Kelley, President of BDI. “It became apparent very quickly that we needed a larger space to appropriately showcase our designs in such a way that really displays their well thought-out features and superior quality. Working with Julie and the entire IMC leasing team has been a true pleasure, and I am very excited about the upcoming Fall 2016 market.”
