Capel Rugs To Add 3 Collections To Biltmore Lineup

Marking the 11th anniversary of its partnership with Biltmore Estates, Capel Rugs is expanding its Biltmore line in time for the October High Point Market.

Marking the 11th anniversary of its partnership with Biltmore Estates, Capel Rugs is expanding its Biltmore line in time for the October High Point Market.

The company said it is adding three collections to its licensed lineup, boosting its total to 14 licensed Biltmore collections.

"Working with a fellow North Carolina-based company that shares our values is an absolute joy," said Cameron Capel, Vice President of National Accounts for Capel Rugs. "Our friends at Biltmore share similar goals while also supporting the local community. Together, we’ve created an attractive assortment of beautiful designs inspired from elements throughout the estate as well as direct replicas from actual rugs in the home, and we can’t wait to introduce our latest round of classic Biltmore rugs updated for today.

The market takes place Oct. 22-26, and the newest rugs will be in Capel’s showroom at Market Square 112.

The new collections are Century, which is made in India with a blend of New Zealand wool and nylon; Estate, a hand-knotted collection featuring bright, on-trend colors and detailed traditional designs; and Palisade, which is hand-knotted in Indian of 100% wood and features a subdued stone colorway.

"This anniversary collection is excellent and we are delighted to bring it to market," said Tim Rosebrock, Vice President and General Manager of Biltmore’s licensing division. "Capel Rugs deserves great credit for making our program what it is today. Together, we’ve created a line that has stood the test of time and speaks to the exceptional legacy of Biltmore while staying relevant to trends."

More than 25 years ago, Biltmore began working with its first licensed partners to develop furnishings and accessories that take inspiration from Biltmore House, America’s largest privately owned home, as well as from a connection to the lifestyle and heritage of the Vanderbilt family who began the estate.

Capel Rugs is one of Biltmore’s longest-running licensing partners, an association that began in 2005 with the reproduction of antique textiles from Biltmore House’s collection. The line of rugs has since evolved to include designs that are inspired by Biltmore’s gardens, architectural details, fine art objects, terrace views and furnishings.

"We are extremely pleased to be entering into a second decade of partnership with Capel Rugs and are excited about what the future holds," said Rosebrock. "Like Biltmore, they are a family owned and operated company whose brand speaks to outstanding quality and design."
