Customatic Introduces First Adjustable Base Storage Solution

The new design is the first to offer a complete sleep system incorporating a mattress, upper body lift adjustability and a hidden storage compartment, offering ample storage space, equal to that of two dresser drawers, under the leg section of the base, all in one unit.

The mattress uses memory foam to provide a contouring and comfortable sleep experience with the ability to adjust the head of the base to provide a variety of elevating positions for reading, lounging or sleeping. With a dual hydraulic suspension system mounted on either side of the frame, the hidden storage compartment can be accessed effortlessly by lifting the frame at the foot of the bed, with a smooth and silent gliding action.

“We developed the HIDEAWAY in response to our customers request for storage options with adjustable bases,” said Phil McCarty, managing member of Customatic. “We have learned that many bedroom furniture retailers sell collections with pedestal or platform bases, in fact, many claim sales as high as 30 to 40 percent of master bedroom sales.  Last market, we introduced our TRIMLINE model which proved to be a winning solution for that segment.  We believe the HIDEAWAY can also prove to be a winning solution as an extension into storage solutions,” McCarty added.
