Las Vegas Market International Presence Well-Represented

International buyers are expected to flock to Summer Market, with representatives from 54 countries currently registered to attend. Canada represents the highest number of registered participants. A number of visitors from Mexico also are registered as well as a large number of visitors from Columbia.

Las Vegas Market is implementing a number of initiatives to welcome and cater to international buyers. The signature FIRST LOOK trend program featuring market resources aligned with key themes, product vignettes and companion print guide will be simultaneously translated into Spanish. There will be a special International Buyers Lounge on the 11th floor of Building C, where a light breakfast and lunch will be served and Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available as needed. Las Vegas Market also will offer a Spanish translation of its popular “Market 101” video.

In addition to the growing numbers of international buyers, Las Vegas Market is attracting substantial numbers of international exhibitors, as well as U.S. representatives of international firms. More than 116 furniture, gift and home décor suppliers from 20 countries will be represented at Summer Market. The largest number of international exhibitors are from Canada, with more than 51 companies.  Other countries represented are: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Singapore, Turkey, United Kingdom and Vietnam.

In addition to internationally-based companies, a number of leading international furniture, home décor and gift brands are participating in Summer Market through U.S. subsidiaries.

International brands and globally-sourced products will be particularly well-represented in temporary exhibits at The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market.  The HOME category will showcase two newcomers from Australia -- Langdon and Incy Interiors – and a concentration of internationally sourced one-of-a-kind items will be showcased in DISCOVERIES: The Antique Vintage Marketplace: Antiques & Interiors; Blue Ocean Traders; Cheppu Himalaya; Enchanted Imports; Exotic Textures; Go Home; Shebobo; Uber Chic; and Vintage Addiction.

Summer Market highlights include the addition of some 40 new tenants in the gift, housewares and home décor categories as well as 50 new furniture companies; concentration of new boutique home décor resources on C5; the grand opening of new permanent exhibit space on C1; continued resource growth in the C10 Lifestyle Collection; the targeted expansion of C11 as the industry’s newest destination for gift-oriented housewares, gourmet products, specialty food and tabletop items; continued expansion in casual and outdoor products on C12 and C13; presentation of the top 15 bedding manufacturers; sold out home furnishings temporaries on B2 and expansion of The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market to feature some 500 temporary exhibitors.
