Bassett Furniture Renews Commitments in Las Vegas and High Point

International Market Centers (IMC) has announced that Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. has renewed their commitment to both Las Vegas and High Point, signing long-term leases.

The company will remain in their existing showrooms in both locations. In Las Vegas, Bassett’s showroom on the 9th floor of Building A (A953) will showcase their new collections at Summer Las Vegas Market. In High Point, Bassett’s showroom will be on the 12th floor of the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) building, Commerce Wing (C1200).

“We have been with IMC for a long time and continue to see the value in our partnership,” said Bruce Cohenour, Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising, Bassett Home Furnishings. “Bassett is investing in both markets to reach both east and west coast customers and we see opportunities in both locations for expanding our distribution. In Las Vegas, we have seen continued growth since we began showing with them five years ago, and we see even more potential in the future. Historically, we have consistently been well-received in High Point and we continue to invest in a strong presence there.”

Scott Eckman, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Furniture Leasing for International Market Centers (IMC) said, “We couldn’t be happier to have Bassett with us in both locations. They are one of the most well-known brands in the industry. Their foothold in both Las Vegas and High Point gives them access to more buyers more often.  As we continue to grow our buyer base in the western part of the US, Bassett can capitalize on that growth and leverage their strong brand recognition even further.”

Las Vegas Market recently announced the new addition of LaZBoy casegoods brands Hammary, Kincaid and American Drew debuting at Summer Market, joining Cozzia, Global Home, Modway, Horizon Home, Flair, Target Marketing Systems and United Furniture Industries, among others.

Beyond traditional furniture, the upcoming Summer Las Vegas Market marks the one-year anniversary for dedicated Casual/Outdoor floors C-12 and C-13, with over 180 exhibitors and lines representing everything trending in the category. Both permanent and temporary presentations are showcased throughout 250,000 square feet of contiguous space. Resources include everything from furniture to umbrellas to rugs to outdoor fireplaces and more.
