Designer Richard Frinier Wins Gold ADEX Award for Sunbrella Collection

Designer Richard Frinier was honored with a Gold ADEX award, an industry recognition of design and product innovation, for his Caravan collection of Sunbrella fabrics.
Frinier drew inspiration for this collection from an extended stay in Morocco. It is comprised of an assortment of rich, textual constructions and colored patterns reminiscent of Moroccan rugs.
“We’re proud to be partnered with Richard Frinier and congratulate him on this new accolade of his continued design leadership,” said Greg Rosendale, residential market manager of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, the maker of Sunbrella fabrics. “The Caravan collection of Sunbrella fabrics represents an ideal fusion of design and performance, attributes in which we take pride.”
Caravan includes two base cloth constructions and five decorative and coordinating patterns. Frinier incorporated shades of sand, camel, brown, black, indigo and henna reflecting Morocco and its culture.
“Morocco represents one of my most memorable adventures in design inspiration, and that translated beautifully to my Caravan collection of Sunbrella fabrics,” Frinier said. “I am honored to receive this recognition from the A&D community, especially for a collection so near and dear to my heart.”
