HTL Begins Renovation of High Point Showroom Building

Upholstery supplier HTL International has kicked off renovation of its newly purchased building in High Point.

The 49,467-square-foot building, located at 305 N. Main Street in High Point, will house the company’s marketing and showroom functions. The company anticipates the building being ready for the April High Point Market.

The showroom space will allow the company to showcase each of its business segments—Fabbrica, Gallery, Muse, Relax Studio and Domicil—in a broadened presentation.

“We take a long-term view of the markets we operate in and this investment is a testament of our commitment to our customers in this part of the world,” said Phua Yong Tat, group managing director. “The U.S.A. is one of HTL’s largest markets; the new showroom will augment our presence here.”

Building on its theme of “more”, HTL continues its strategy on enlarging their product line by adding collections, chairs, recliners, upholstered beds and sleepers to meet the market’s changing lifestyle needs. The same concept will be adapted in the new showroom in High Point Market.

“Come 2016, High Point Market will be the center of our major U.S. exhibitions,” said Gabriel Ho, general manager for Canada, the U.S. and Latin America. “Our new location being in a significant part of the region’s furniture cluster is a boost to our longer term strategic plans for the Americas. We find focusing our exhibitions in High Point Market helps rationalize our business in the region.”

The building complex will allow the company to run its U.S. operations more efficiently year round, Ho said.
