IMAX Expands Line with ‘The Good Wife’ Set Director

IMAX Corp. has expanded its best-selling BAK Home collection with set decorator and designer Beth Kushnick who is the set designer for CBS’ The Good Wife.

The collection includes accessories, lighting and accent furniture. Several pieces will be featured on the set of the show, now in its seventh season.

“A shift has occurred in my career with the development of the new home décor line for IMAX,” Kushnick said. “The irony is, my role behind the scenes as a set decorator for the last three decades has evolved to a place in the spotlight as a product designer. This role reversal has been an enlightening, surreal experience.”

Kushnick’s style resonates deeply with audiences. Throughout her career, she has sought opportunities to step out from behind the velvet rope to engage her fans. By collaborating with CBS Consumer Products, Kushnick was responsible for creating the first home décor license in prime time television history. Her work with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams http://www.mgbwhome.com/ and Madura http://www.madurahome.com/en_us/ has broken new ground and now she expands her own label, BAK Home, with IMAX.

“The introduction of BAK Home has been well received by the home décor industry,” said Rex Yoakley, vice president of sales for IMAX. “From the beginning, this distinctive line was designed with unmatched quality using some of the finest marble, wood and metal available. Beth’s design style has emerged from her experience on the set and it is very much influenced by her fan following. The sourcing capabilities of IMAX have made the collection affordable and attainable. We’re so pleased to have her talents and experience on the team.”
