LightHeaded Beds Launches LED Headboards

Park City, Utah-based LightHeaded Beds will launch a new take on customized headboards at the July 29-August 2 Las Vegas Furniture Market.

The company has infused a patented state-of-the-art, poster size, flat panel, energy efficient, multi-function, remote controlled, 12-volt LED reading and nightlight into specially designed heirloom quality headboards. LightHeaded’s customers then upload their own art and photos to LightHeadedBeds.com, where they can create their own personalized headboard art, as often as they want.

“This isn’t a princess bed or a race car bed your child is really excited about at first, but then outgrows in a short period of time," said President and CEO Dennis Forchic . "Instead, with our bed and our licensing relationships your daughter can order a handful of different Disney™ princess images one month and switch to pictures of her favorite pop star the next. Meanwhile your son can have Iron Man™ protecting him at night, and Spiderman™ playing with him during the day.”

LightHeaded Beds digitally prints the customer’s art onto a special transparent film that allows these 33-inch-by-15-inch posters to be backlit by the patented LED panel. Now the child has an illuminated piece of art in their headboard that is a reading light or dimmable nightlight. Each LightHeaded Bed features a patent-pending concealed built-in storage pocket in the footboard which holds up to 25 LightHeaded images, making it easy for kids to keep their collections damage free, easy to access and switch out, and neat and tidy.

Forchic also reached out to Disney and Marvel to secure licensing rights for LightHeaded Beds' illuminated headboards. The company now has dozens of licensed properties and thousands of different Disney, Marvel, Muppets, and Dinosaur Train images for customers to choose from; as well as licenses with Getty images, 123RF and featured artists, with more on the way.

In Las Vegas, LightHeaded Beds will introduce five new designs in World Market Center -B251 in both twin and full sizes; as headboard only or complete bed, with retail price points ranging from $199 to $799. Most styles include at least three finish options as well as under-bed storage and trundle options.
