Capel Rugs to Redesign High Point Showroom

Rug supplier Capel Rugs is redesigning its historic Market Square showroom for next month’s High Point Market.


The showroom changes will enhance the company’s product presentation and improve traffic flow.

The showroom design will incorporate a "clean, efficient, 21st-century aesthetic" that will be easier for retailers to shop, said Cameron Capel, vice president of national accounts. "With this new layout, retailers will be able to easily peruse our entire selection to find the best designs for their stores."

The showroom will feature additional racking systems showcasing the company's latest rug designs as well as an assortment of best-sellers. Buyers will enjoy easy-to-access charging stations, a self-serve refreshment area and a coffee bar featuring Starbucks coffee. In addition, the showroom boasts a designer corner where customers can work one-on-one with sales representatives.

Capel will conduct an Apple Watch giveaway to encourage retailers and designers to make advance appointments for the upcoming market. Every customer that tours the showroom with their sales representative will be eligible, with winners determined by raffle. Two Apple Watches—a his and her model—will be given away.

During market, Capel also will continue promoting its Biltmore For Your Home Silver Anniversary sweepstakes. The grand prize is a fully furnished bedroom, including a hand-knotted rug provided by Capel. Five silver anniversary winners will be selected, with each receiving  two admission tickets to Biltmore and one Biltmore sheet set. To participate, contestants can register online. Winners will be randomly selected on Oct. 31.
