July 22,
2015 by in Designer Weekly
Erica Steenstra has joined Taylor Design as director of environments
In the new position, Steenstra will grow the company’s strategy-based design in its three practice areas of architecture, environments and strategies.
Steenstra brings to Taylor Design experience with the Walt Disney Co. as interior design manager of corporate design. In this client-side role she managed consultants in all aspects of projects and served as an in-house designer to corporate leadership. Prior to this she was an associate and interior design leader for NBBJ in Los Angeles.
“Erica brings a unique perspective to Taylor Design having experienced the design process from the client side,” said Randy Regier, president of Taylor Design. “She understands the decision-making process from that point of view. This helps keep us aligned with the needs and priorities of the client throughout the process.”
Steenstra’s 25-year career includes a role as principal of her own consulting practice and associate with Fields Devereaux and HLW.
“What appealed to me most about joining Taylor Design is that we lead with strategy. The team undertakes a true discovery process when first working with the client which is an exciting and thought-provoking way to realize great design,” said Steenstra.
