Gorman’s Home Furnishings Honored for Homearama Designs

The Michigan retailer was recognized for its work on three of the homes showcased at The Ultimate Homearama 2014.

Gorman’s work was honored in categories, including: Interiors/Conservatory/Screen Room/Sunroom; Contemporary Master Suite; Traditional Dining Room; Contemporary Living Room/Great Room; and Children’s Room.

The first event of its kind in more than a decade, Homearama was produced by the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan. Visitors toured custom homes featuring the latest trends in home construction, interior design and landscaping by the nation’s top design talent. Home values ranged from about $2.5 million to $3.5 million.

“Beautiful homes begin at Gorman’s and our work with three Homearama showhouses captured the breadth and depth of our team’s design talent,” said Tom Lias, Gorman’s president. “From traditional to contemporary, we created rooms for this event that reflected the lifestyles and looks our customers seek—just in a much shorter period of time and in multiple spaces.”
