IFDA Open for Grant Applications

The Educational Foundation of the International Furnishings and Design Association is now accepting applications for its 10 grants for 2015.

Some grants are for members or for chapters, but others are for design/furnishings professionals, organizations or schools.

The Ina Mae Kaplan Historic Preservation Grant for $1,500 is open to those involved in restoring or preserving historic sites. The Elizabeth Brown Grant to Interior Design Programs for $1,000 is open to an accredited interior design program for supplementary materials. The Irma Dobbin Universal Design grant for $2,000 is for an individual developing a universal design project to meet the living needs of all ages and capabilities.

Applications for these and other grants will be received until June 30. Complete details of all grants along with entry forms and requirements can be found online.

The Educational Foundation is the philanthropic and educational arm of IFDA. It actively supports a variety of learning opportunities to undergraduate and re-entering students as well as professionals seeking to enhance skills. IFDA/EF provides more scholarships and grants than any other professional association in the industry.
