IFDA Accepts Applications for Raymond Waites Design Competition

The Educational Foundation of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) is currently accepting applications for the third and final Raymond Waites Design Competition.

The competition is for full-time undergraduate interior design students. The winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize and a trip to the October 2015 High Point Market. The winner will be guest of honor and the winning entry will be on display at a special event hosted by designer Raymond Waites at the 200 Steele Building

“The principles of the Raymond Waites Design Competition are to foster creative spirit, visual inspiration and rooms that have  an emotional warmth, rooms that are comfortable, friendly and display an ageless mix of design influences reflecting various cultures,” Waites said.

Complete details of the competition along with entry forms and requirements can be found online. Entries are due by June 1.

The Educational Foundation is the philanthropic and educational arm of IFDA.  It supports a variety of learning opportunities to undergraduate and re-entering students as well as professionals seeking to enhance skills. IFDA/EF provides more scholarships and grants than any other professional association in the industry.
