Lane, Bears’ Jared Allen Team to Help Wounded Veterans

The company will introduce a ComfortKing recliner named Valor to its line at High Point Market. Twenty percent of sales are earmarked to benefit Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

Lane’s game plan includes kicking off opening day of Market Saturday with flying colors with a ceremony featuring the Oak Ridge Military Academy Color Guard at 10:15 a.m. Allen will be in the Lane showroom throughout the day, meeting with media and buyers, and signing footballs for fans. 

Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors was formed in October of 2009, following Allen’s return home from his USO trip to U.S. military bases in the Middle East. Hailing from a long line of veterans, Allen himself would have been destined for military service had it not been for another kind of draft, that of the NFL. Moved by what he experienced, along with the commitment, dedication and sacrifices that soldiers make every day, he founded Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

The foundation provides financial assistance and support to injured United States military veterans by building and remodeling handicap accessible homes to suit their individual needs one wounded warrior at a time. By embracing the conflict and making a positive life-changing difference in the lives of those who need it most, Allen and his JAH4WW team are devoted to making life for wounded vets just a little bit easier, while encouraging others to get involved. In the near future, JAH4WW and Heritage Home Group will build or remodel a handicap accessible home for an injured United States military veteran in North Carolina.
