Company C Kicks off Interior Design Challenge

Rug supplier Company C is offering interior designers the opportunity to get creative with a rug design competition.
Company C’s interior design partners can submit an original rug design that will go into production and be introduced by October. To be considered for the Interior Designer Challenge, designers must submit original designs by May 15. A panel of jurors including editors and journalists will select the winning design June 1. In addition to having the rug added to an upcoming season’s introductions, the winning designer will also receive their rug made to their sizing specifications.
“We’re thrilled to introduce an outside collaboration for the first time,” said Christine Chapin, co-founder of Company C. “We so very much value our designer partners and their perspectives, and we look forward to seeing what fresh new take they bring to Company C."
Submissions must include an inspiration storyboard that demonstrates a creative use of color and pattern, as well as a design drawing. Designs should include a brief description of the applicant’s background and inspiration for the original creation, specifically detailing how color is used to enhance the rug’s look.
A sampling of interior design work and completed projects will also be used to consider the winning style.
