Rug and accessories supplier Surya will expand its collection with DwellStudio at this week’s High Point Market.
The initial DwellStudio collection was introduced at the October Market, and Surya said the line has been successful with its retail partners. The additions include hand-knotted and hand-woven options in a broader spectrum of colors, including neutrals and rich shades of blue and gray.
Comprised of DwellStudio’s signature mix of geometric, decorative and ethnic motifs, the latest designs include bold, graphic flatweaves, Moroccan inspired shags and luxe hand-knotted patterns that have been washed multiple times to make them soft and luxuriant. “The beauty of the DwellStudio for Surya line is its versatility,” said Christiane Lemieux, founder and creative director for DwellStudio. “Inspired by an eclectic blend of global and fashion influences, the rugs are designed to appeal to a variety of interior styles from traditional to contemporary. We believe in a layered aesthetic and worked hand in hand with Surya’s product development team to create a diverse collection that reflects our signature modern mix of styles – offering everything from statement making to elegantly understated rugs that create the perfect way to pull any room together.”
The new introductions include greater depth in terms of constructions and price points along with more colors for each style for added design flexibility.
“DwellStudio excels at taking classic elements and re-envisioning them for a modern setting to create effortlessly chic looks that are both comfortable and highly accessible,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “With these latest rug collections, we are writing the next chapter in the DwellStudio story by offering a wider range of options that will enable any customer to get DwellStudio’s trend forward look, regardless of budget or living environment. We look forward to sharing these inspired new designs with market attendees and to further developing this important collaboration.”
