IDS Names Judges for Designer of the Year Competition

The Interior Design Society  has named a panel of 11 judges for its 5th annual designer of the year competition.

The awards will be presented during a gala at the IDS national conference May 20 in Fort Myers, Fla.

The judges will select winners in up to 19 different categories. 

The judges are Deb Barrett, principal of Window Dressings; Mitzi Beach, designer and principal of Mitzi Beach; Leslie Carothers, owner of The Kaleidoscope Partnership; Patti Carpenter of Carpenter + Co.; Tobi Fairley of Tobi Fairley & Associates; Susan Inglis, executive director of the Sustainable Furnishings Council; Rebecca Reynolds, president of New Canaan Kitchens; designer Joe Ruggiero; Barbara Viteri, president and creative director of Viteri Style Management; interior designer Jackie Von Tobel; and author and color consultant Amy Wax. 

“Having a robust lineup of industry experts as judges will add to the competitive edge of this year’s competition, said Snoa Garrigan, IDS executive director. “We received a record number of entries this year and look forward to announcing the winners at the awards dinner on May 20.”
